IT Fundamentals Experts Needed

CompTIA is currently looking for IT professionals to participate in an Objective Development workshop for our IT Fundamentals (ITF+) Certification Exam.

During the Objective Development workshop, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) will identify areas of competence required for the ITF+ exam to ensure that the examination objectives are relevant to the skills and activities for the target audience. Also SMEs will be writing and reviewing items during this workshop.

Assistance from IT Fundamental SMEs is crucial in providing an industry relevant exam. To qualify, SMEs must have at least 2 years’ experience in PC installation, general security, networking, and computer information systems

Preferably A+, Network+ and/or Security+ certified (or equivalent)

SMEs who attend the workshop will receive:

• An honorarium of $440 per day (or $2,200 total for the week), pending adequate level of participation
• 40 continuing education credits (CEUs)
• Breakfast, lunch, and refreshments daily during the workshop
• A complimentary CompTIA testing voucher for the exam of their choice

In recognition of their contributions, all SMEs who participate in the entire Item Writing workshop will have their names and companies (if provided) listed on the CompTIA website.

*International SMEs will instead receive $540/day stipend ($2,700 total) to help defer additional travel costs.

Based on changing state and government guidelines/requirements, vaccination is currently not required for workshop participants.
