Project+ Experts Needed

CompTIA is looking for IT professionals in the project management field who possess at least 2 years of direct experience leading, managing, directing, or participating in small to medium scale projects OR professionals with at least 5 years of part-time project management experience while serving in an IT management role to be involved in a Item Writing workshop for our CompTIA Project+ Certification exam.

The purpose of this Item Writing workshop is to create and review item content (questions) for CompTIA Project+ exam.

Assistance from SMEs is crucial in providing an industry relevant exam. Potential SMEs must have:

  • A minimum of 2 years working in the field of project management.
  • Must possess important core knowledge of the project life cycle, roles, and skills necessary to effectively initiate, plan, execute, monitor/control, and close a project.
  • It is preferred that SMEs are Project+ certified (or hold an equivalent credential).

SMEs who attend the workshop will receive:

  • An honorarium of $440 per day (or $2,200 total for the week), pending adequate level of participation
  • 40 continuing education credits (CEUs)
  • Breakfast, lunch, and refreshments daily during the workshop
  • A complimentary CompTIA testing voucher for the exam of their choice
  • Recognition on CompTIA website as Subject Matter Expert (optional) 
  • CompTIA SME digital badge for resume and social media

In recognition of their contributions, all SMEs who participate in the entire Cut Score workshop will have their names and companies (if provided) listed on the CompTIA website.

*International SMEs will instead receive $540/day stipend ($2,700 total) to help defer additional travel costs.
