CompTIA is currently seeking data analyst and/or IT professionals, instructors, and those responsible for internal staff training to participate in an Item Writing workshop for our Data Foundations+ Exam.
The purpose of this Item Writing workshop is to create and review item content (questions) for CompTIA's Data Foundations+ certification exam.
Assistance from SMEs is crucial in providing an industry relevant exam. To qualify, potential SMEs must have 3 or more years of experience in data analytics or secondary or post-secondary instruction teaching entry-level courses on data analytics. Potential SMEs must have knowledge related to data types, the concept of data lifecycle, common data sources, statistical literacy, logical reasoning, types of data analysis, and sharing and visualizing data.
SMEs who attend the workshop will receive:
In recognition of their contributions, all SMEs who participate in the entire Item Writing workshop will have their names and companies (if provided) listed on the CompTIA website.
*International SMEs will instead receive $500/day stipend ($2,000 total) to help defer additional travel costs.

Only professionals working in one of the fields above should apply.
