CompTIA is looking for IT professionals who have current experience working in the information security field to be involved in a Cut Score workshop for the CompTIA Security+ certification exam.
During the Cut Score workshop, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) will determine and set the passing standard for the certification exam, and will create, develop, and review items for the CompTIA Security+ Exam.
Assistance from subject matter experts (SMEs) is crucial in providing industry relevant certifications. Potential SMEs must be currently working in the field of information security and have at least 5 years of experience. It is preferred that SMEs are Security+ certified (or hold an equivalent/higher credential).
SMEs who attend the workshop will receive:
In recognition of their contributions, all SMEs who participate in the entire Item Writing workshop will have their names and companies (if provided) listed on the CompTIA website.
*International SMEs will instead receive $540/day stipend ($2,700 total) to help defer additional travel costs.
Based on changing state and government guidelines/requirements, vaccination is currently not required for workshop participants.

Although CompTIA appreciates interest from the training community, applications from trainers/teachers, authors, or individuals who may profit or materially benefit from knowledge of the CompTIA credential content are not eligible to participate.
