Cloud and Networking Experts Needed

CompTIA is seeking senior IT professionals who have practical experience working in both network architect and cloud infrastructure services in an enterprise setting to be involved in a Job Task Analysis Workshop for the new CompTIA Certification exam for Cloud and Networking Experts.

The Cloud and Networking expert-level certification will cover the advanced job role skills of a systems and network architect with the job of building secure, scalable networking solutions in a complex, hybrid (on-premises and cloud) enterprise environment with a focus on system and network architecture, design, engineering, and integration.

During the Job Task Analysis, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) will identify areas of competence required for this new certification exam to ensure that the examination objectives are relevant to job roles and activities for the target audience.

Assistance from Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) is crucial in providing an industry relevant exam. Potential Cloud and Networking Expert candidates must have:

• A minimum of 7-10 years of experience as a Systems Architect, Network Architect, Cloud Network Architect, Infrastructure Architect, or Enterprise Architect with primary responsibility for system and network architecture, design, engineering, and integration.
• Hands-on experience working with hybrid systems (on-premises and cloud-based).
• Preferably Cloud+ and Network+ certified (or equivalent knowledge)
• Possible Job Roles include: Systems Architect, Network Architect, Cloud Network Architect, Infrastructure Architect, Enterprise Architect

SMEs who attend the workshop will receive:

• An honorarium of $440 per day (or $2,200 total for the week), pending adequate level of participation
• 40 continuing education credits (CEUs)
• Breakfast, lunch, and refreshments daily during the workshop
• A complimentary CompTIA testing voucher for the exam of their choice
• Recognition on CompTIA website as Subject Matter Expert (optional) 
• CompTIA SME digital badge for resume and social media

In recognition of their contributions, all SMEs who participate in the entire Job Task Analysis workshop will have their names and companies (if provided) listed on the CompTIA website.

*International SMEs will instead receive $540/day stipend ($2,700 total) to help defer additional travel costs.

Based on changing state and government guidelines/requirements, vaccination is currently not required for workshop participants.
