CompTIA Supports U.S. Opposition to French Digital Services Tax

Dec 3, 2019

The Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA) issued the following statement from Cinnamon Rogers, Executive Vice President of Advocacy, regarding the efforts by the Trump Administration to oppose France's Digital Services Tax.

"CompTIA supports the Administration’s efforts to curb France's Digital Services Tax (DST). CompTIA strongly opposes the DST and those proposed like it. This discriminatory tax targets many of the world’s most innovative companies by taxing their profits twice and will ultimately harm job and economic growth in France and elsewhere. CompTIA supports the United States’ continued leadership in the OECD as they work to reach a multilateral solution for addressing international tax rules for digital companies."
