A new program to help ConnectWise members access a pipeline of job-ready tech talent

Have you found it hard to attract and retain tech talent in today’s competitive hiring environment? What if you had access to a brand-new pipeline of job-ready, CompTIA A+ certified candidates to choose from? And what if they were also trained on the ConnectWise Manage® platform so they were familiar with your ticketing system on day one? Introducing Ticket to Tech, a new program for ConnectWise IT Nation Evolve members.

CompTIA, a leading voice and advocate for the $5 trillion global information technology ecosystem, and ConnectWise, the world's leading software company dedicated to the success of IT solution providers, are partnering to present you with a unique opportunity. Employers participating in the program will have the chance to hire new tech talent certified in CompTIA A+, the industry standard for launching IT careers.

We’ll train them in the technical skills and durable skills needed for success on the job. You interview candidates and make hiring decisions.

Through this unique new program we will work together to:

  • Get you the tech talent you need
  • Improve your employee retention
  • Provide new-to-tech individuals with an IT career path
  • Invest in the next group of learners in order to build a strong tech talent pipeline.

Program overview

Training will begin in October 2022, with multiple classes and start dates scheduled. Learners will be in class for 17 weeks, giving you the opportunity to interview potential new hires as soon as early 2023.

Before being accepted into the program, candidates will go through an assessment process to ensure that the fit is good and that they are likely to complete the program successfully. Throughout the program students receive support and additional resources as needed. In addition to technical skills, learners also receive durable skills training such as critical thinking, problem solving and communications. Finally, learners will receive career readiness training including LinkedIn and social media lessons, mock interviews and resume assistance.

Identifying, using, and connecting hardware components and devices, including the broad knowledge about different devices that is now necessary to support the remote workforce

Install and support Windows OS including command line & client support. System configuration imaging and troubleshooting for Mac OS, Chrome OS, Android and Linux OS.

Process for Hiring Graduates: a Two-Pathway Approach

As an employer partner in this program, you will have two options for hiring:

  • Direct full-time hire to fill open desktop support positions
  • Apprenticeship, where your new employees learn on the job, are mentored, and build a career path--and you become eligible for certain financial benefits, as well as additional support from CompTIA.

Both of these options will be explored once you submit the form indicating your interest in hiring tech talent through this program.

Pay it Forward: Reinvesting in the Next Round of Tech Training

And now perhaps the most unique and exciting part of this program! By participating, you are helping us reinvest in the next round of tech learners so that together we can break the cycle of recirculating existing tech talent and not having a deep enough pipeline of new tech talent. Employers will pay $5,000 per employee hired through this program. 100% of this payment will be reinvested to train the next group of learners by CompTIA.
