Building the Future of Technology
CompTIA's Vendor Advisory Council explores the key issues and inflection points facing hardware manufacturers, software vendors, carriers and ISPs. Topics include—but are not limited to—the use of value-added services as a means of vendor differentiation, enacting strategies to minimize channel conflict, cultivating partners best suited to the business model and properly balancing compensation plans and best practices for the engagement of hybrid cloud models.
These discussions reflect substantial changes in the industry as vendors seek creative new ways to build profitability in spite of restricted budgets and lower margins in the XaaS space. In the current age of technology, cutting-edge capabilities often take a backseat to measurable ROI and a solid business case to support technology acquisitions. Through a better understanding of these issues, vendors can more effectively build strategies to successfully navigate these changes.
