Whether you want to learn about disruptive trends in IT, business transformation or just find sales solutions, you’ll hear secrets straight from the top at the Oct. 21 and 22 IT Services & Support Fall Community Meeting in Philadelphia.

Whether you want to learn about disruptive trends in IT, business transformation or just find sales solutions, you’ll hear secrets straight from the top at the upcoming IT Services & Support Fall Community Meeting. Set for Oct. 21 and 22, the two-day meeting features five C-level IT executives who will share what they see trending in the channel, plus ideas to keep on the top of your mind during strategic planning.

Expect a standing-room only crowd for this unprecedented gathering, said ITSS executive council chair Angel Pineiro Jr. “This is a meeting like no other,” he said, predicting a packed room of ITSS professionals, from mid-level managers to VIPs. “This is a tremendous networking opportunity.”

The event is free to members and their guests, so invite your colleagues and register now to hear insight from C-level executives regarding the future of IT from people who are making their own strategic decisions. “At this meeting we’ll get the user perspective: what it is they’re facing, suggesting and paying attention to in IT,” said Cathy Alper, director of member communities for CompTIA. “This will help IT businesses set directions that will expand their businesses.”

Those who participate in CompTIA Communities also have a chance to get involved and make a difference in the industry. CompTIA Communities and Councils are made up of experts from a range of different industries, from thought leaders and consultants to vendors and service providers. Members collaborate with each other on initiatives that not only advance the global IT industry but shape its future.

“This is an opportunity to set standards and best practices, and it’s an opportunity to learn,” said Pineiro, who, in addition to his work with CompTIA, is senior vice president of services for ASI System Integration Inc.

Speakers scheduled for the two-day session include Fred Dillman, chief technology officer for Unisys, and author of “Disruptive IT Trends — The New Technologies that are Reshaping IT”; Craig Cuyar, chief information officer for Cushman & Wakefield; Hal Friedlander, chief information officer for the New York City Department of Education; Guy D. Fruda, regional technology director for Deloitte, and author of “Why Visual Collaboration is Critical to our Success”; and Erik Grimmelmann, Ph.D., president and chief executive officer of New York Technology Council, and author of “The Evolving Nature of Innovation: How the Internet Changes Almost Everything.”

“If you’re serious about your business, you cannot afford to miss this meeting,” Pineiro said. “You have the opportunity to hear and learn from not one but five C-level IT executives of some of the largest businesses and education institutions in the world. I, for one, will have a front-row seat.”

The two-day ITSS Fall Community Meeting starts at noon on Oct. 21 in Philadelphia with a welcome and lunch, followed by speakers, community business and roundtable discussions. A reception and dinner featuring another speaker will follow. Day two kicks off at 8 a.m. with a welcome, ITSS initiatives, more speakers and initiative work groups, closing with lunch.
