Chicago Tech Academy is one of 75 finalists (out of 400 nominees!) for the Chicago Innovation Awards. Today it needs your help to get to the top 10.
CompTIA and the Creating IT Futures Foundation have been supporting the school for several years. Placing in the Top 10 would give the school even more valuable publicity so it can attract more donors.
You have to register and then vote for five finalists in all. If you're in a hurry and don't have time to browse, here are some recommendations:
- Chicago Tech Academy (of course)
- GiveForward (a way for friends to pool money online for impromptu causes, as when someone loses their house to a fire)
- Nalco (special fabric manufacturing, just looked kind of cool)
- Innovative Exams (building testing kiosks for CompTIA and other customers)
- Britannica Digital Learning (created Image Quest, a bank of royalty-free images for students to use without copyright worries)
The awards were established in 2002 to honor organizations developing products and services to meet Chicago's unmet needs. The winners will be announced at the 10th Annual Awards Ceremony happening Nov. 8 at The Harris Theater in Chicago.
We can't think of a bigger unmet need than America's students, who need our support.
