CompTIA Wins a 2016 Enterprise Video Award from Sonic Foundry

May 16, 2016

Downers Grove, Ill. – CompTIA, the nonprofit association for the technology industry, said today it has been named a winner in the 12th Annual Enterprise Video Awards in the High-Profile Event category.

The awards, presented by Sonic Foundry, Inc. (NASDAQ: SOFO), the trusted global leader for video creation and management solutions, honor excellence in Mediasite integration into business, education, health and government. This year’s winners achieved measurable improvements in information accessibility, cost-savings, efficiency and productivity through Mediasite.

CompTIA took top honors in the High-Profile Event category for ChannelCon Online, the virtual companion to ChannelCon, the IT industry’s premier conference for collaboration, education and networking.

More than 2,000 people attended ChannelCon Online in 2015, more than double the number from 2014, the first year online sessions were offered. The virtual conference featured keynote speeches and online training sessions, including Track4Techs, educational programming developed for IT professionals interested in building their skills and advancing their careers.

“Congratulations to this year’s Enterprise Video Award winners for embracing online video to achieve measurable cost savings, efficiencies and productivity with Mediasite,” said Rob Lipps, executive VP, Sonic Foundry. “It’s an honor to recognize the best and most innovative ways our customers are using our products, and they never stop amazing us with their creativity. They’re great examples of why having a video strategy is essential to success in today’s digital world.”

CompTIA and the other Enterprise Video Awards winners were honored at Unleash, the global Mediasite User Conference in Madison, Wis., earlier this month. The awards ceremony can be viewed on-demand here.
