London, U.K., – CompTIA, the leading trade association for the global technology industry, announced today that registration is open for its 2021 CompTIA EMEA Member and Partner Conference. The conference, which provides an invaluable networking opportunity for the best and brightest minds in the technology industry, will take place in-person at etc.venues near Liverpool Street in central London. It will also feature keynote remarks from Dr. Anne-Marie Imafidon, Co-Founder and CEO of Stemettes and Trustee at the Institute for the Future of Work.

The annual event attracts a diverse audience of executives and leaders engaged in the business of technology, from selling technology solutions to training and teaching tech skills. As part of its packed agenda, CompTIA will also be announcing the winners of its annual Spotlight Awards, which showcase excellence within the industry by highlighting companies’ and individuals’ achievements over the past year.

Imafidon’s keynote speech will be one of the event’s most anticipated elements; she has spoken across the globe for some of the world’s biggest digital companies and conferences, including Facebook, ASOS, Google, SXSW and Founders Forum. She regularly appears in international media and is a sought-after presenter and conference facilitator. In addition to hosting Women Tech Charge podcast for the Evening Standard, she was voted the most influential woman in tech in the UK of 2020 by Computer Weekly and featured among the top 10 BAME leaders in tech by the Financial Times and Inclusive Boards.

In recognition of her significant influence and achievements, Imafidon was awarded an MBE in the 2017 New Year’s Honours for services to young women and STEM sectors. In June of the same year, she was also made an Honorary Fellow at Keble College, Oxford.

Nancy Hammervik, Executive VP, Industry Relations at CompTIA, commented: “The EMEA Member & Partner Conference gives the industry an invaluable opportunity to come together, share expertise and insight, and learn about the latest trends and new solutions. In fact, we’ve heard countless success stories over the years that the connections made at the EMEA Conference have led to long-lasting professional partnerships and significant business growth.”

The conference will feature panels and sessions centred around four key themes: cybersecurity strategies, workforce development, emerging technology innovations, and business-building solutions. As well as representing a crucial chance for networking, attendance is a unique opportunity for all organisations that build, sell or influence the adoption of technology to learn how to better collaborate, plan for the future and share best practices to achieve long-term success.

For training and academic partners, the schedule will include a comprehensive update on CompTIA’s market-leading certification program, as well as discussions on how to address the tech workforce challenges that many employers face.

The 2021 EMEA Member and Partner conference will take place on 6-7th October 2021 at etc.venues, 133 Houndsditch, London EC3A 7BX. To register for the conference, or for more information, please visit https://www.comptia.org/emea/home.
