CompTIA + IBM SkillsBuild

IBM and CompTIA are working together to get job seekers trained for new careers in tech

A new funding model for tech workforce development

This new program provides CompTIA A+ training and IBM SkillsBuild professional skills development for up to 2,000 students in 2023 in communities that are underrepresented in technology across the country leading to industry recognized credentials and employment.

The program supports CompTIA’s mission of unlocking the potential of tech job seekers and is part of IBM’s larger initiative to skill 30 million people globally by 2030.

This new initiative is designed to support individuals who are members of underserved communities. This includes women, minorities, veterans, individuals with disabilities, those in rural communities, those who have limited education and low-income individuals. For job placement purposes, program applicants must be eligible to work in the United States.
