CompTIA is looking for Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) who have current experience specializing in improving cybersecurity operations using AI/ML knowledge, use AI and ML tools to spot potential security problems faster, ensure AI tools are not being hacked or misused, and/ or ensure AI is used responsibly and safely to be involved in a Cut Score workshop for our new CompTIA certification, SecAI+.
During the Cut Score workshop, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) will determine and set the passing standard for the certification exam, and will create, develop, and review items for the CompTIA SecAI+ exam.
In recognition of their contributions, all SMEs who participate in the entire Cut Score workshop will have their names and companies (if provided) listed on the CompTIA website.
*International SMEs will instead receive $540/day stipend ($2,700 total) to help defer additional travel costs.
*International SMEs are those who live outside of the US, Mexico, Canada or Puerto Rico.
When: December 1–5, 2025
Where: CompTIA Headquarters; 3500 Lacey Rd. Suite 150 Downers Grove, IL 60515 (Downers Grove is a suburb of Chicago)
Only professionals currently working in one of the above fields should apply. Although CompTIA appreciates interest from the training community, applications from trainers/teachers, authors, or individuals who may profit or materially benefit from knowledge of the CompTIA credential content are not eligible to participate.
