Partnership expands student access to industry-recognized certifications, instructor training and workforce-focused learning resources
New Cairo, Egypt – CompTIA, the leading global provider of vendor-neutral technology training and certifications, and Future University in Egypt (FUE) today announced a strategic partnership to help prepare students for careers in technology through the integration of industry-recognized certifications, instructor training and career-focused learning resources into academic programs.
The partnership aligns academic learning with workforce requirements by providing students with opportunities to develop validated technology skills sought by employers across Egypt and around the world. Through certification pathways, curriculum support and instructor professional development, the collaboration aims to help students graduate with credentials that demonstrate both knowledge and practical skills.
"Employers are increasingly looking for candidates who can demonstrate practical, job-ready technology skills," said Jason Moss, Senior Vice President, Europe, Middle East and Africa, CompTIA. "By combining academic learning with globally recognized certifications, Future University in Egypt is helping students graduate with credentials that validate their abilities, strengthen their career prospects and better meet the needs of today's workforce."
"This partnership represents an important step in our mission to develop future-ready graduates equipped with the skills demanded by today's digital economy," said Abeer Mohamed Elkorany, Dean of Faculty of Computers and Information Technology at FUE. "By integrating globally recognized CompTIA certifications into our academic programs, we are providing students with a powerful combination of academic achievement and industry validation that will help accelerate their career success."
“Egypt is one of the region’s most important and dynamic technology markets, with a large base of ambitious young talent and growing demand for advanced digital capabilities,” said Yasir El Kabbany, Senior Regional Director, Middle East, North Africa and Levant, CompTIA. “Our partnership with Future University in Egypt is about building a sustainable connection between global industry standards and university education. By supporting both students and faculty, we are helping create a stronger technology talent ecosystem that can contribute to Egypt’s digital transformation and reinforce its position as a regional technology hub.”
The partnership comes at a time of significant growth in Egypt's information and communications technology (ICT) sector. CompTIA analysis of Lightcast data reveals that employer job postings for technology occupations has risen 22% since December 2025." The Information Technology Industry Development Agency reports ICT has been Egypt's fastest-growing sector for eight consecutive years, achieving annual growth rates of 14-16%.
The collaboration reflects growing demand for skilled technology professionals across Egypt and the broader Middle East and North Africa region.
FUE plans to integrate relevant CompTIA certification pathways into academic programs across computing, information technology and engineering disciplines. The university will encourage certification attainment as part of its broader commitment to career readiness and student success. Students will gain access to discounted CompTIA certification exam vouchers, CompTIA CertMaster learning solutions, practice tools and additional resources that support certification preparation and achievement.
The university will also participate in CompTIA's Train-The-Trainer program, helping faculty align classroom instruction with current certification objectives, industry best practices and employer expectations. CompTIA will provide curriculum mapping resources, implementation guidance and labor market insights to support the successful integration of certification pathways across university programs and strengthen connections between academic instruction and workforce needs.
