This Addendum supplements and is incorporated into CompTIA's Terms of Use for Pre-Order purchases of products that are not yet available for immediate access ("Pre-Order Products").
A. Pre-Order Product Terms
1. Pre-Order Agreement. By purchasing a Pre-Order Product, you agree to pay CompTIA the stated purchase price in exchange for access to the CompTIA product upon its launch. Your purchase constitutes a binding commitment to pay for future access to the product.
2. Launch Dates and Modifications. CompTIA will use its best efforts to meet launch dates. All launch dates provided for Pre-Order Products are estimates only. CompTIA reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to modify, delay, or accelerate any launch date without prior notice and without liability to you. CompTIA makes no guarantee regarding the actual launch date of any Pre-Order Product.
3. Product Access. Access to Pre-Order Products will be provided through your CompTIA account upon launch. You are responsible for maintaining valid account credentials and contact information to receive access notifications.
B. Additional Terms
4. Refunds for Pre-Order Products. All Pre-Order Product purchases are final and generally non-refundable. However, CompTIA will provide a refund if: (a) the product launch is delayed more than three (3) months beyond the originally estimated launch date communicated at the time of purchase; or (b) CompTIA permanently cancels a Pre-Order Product. To request a refund under these exceptions, you must submit a written request to CompTIA within thirty (30) days of receiving notification of the applicable triggering event. Any refund provided under this section constitutes CompTIA's sole remedy and obligation with respect to Pre-Order Products. Delays of three (3) months or less, modifications to product specifications, and other changes not meeting the thresholds described above do not entitle you to a refund or exchange.
5. Product Modifications. CompTIA is committed to delivering Pre-Order Products that maintain their fundamental nature and core value as described at the time of purchase. CompTIA reserves the right to make non-material modifications to the features, content, specifications, or delivery method of any Pre-Order Product prior to launch to enhance quality or functionality. Such modifications do not entitle you to a refund or constitute a breach of this agreement.
6. Risk Assumption. You acknowledge and agree that purchasing Pre-Order Products involves inherent risks, including potential delays, modifications, or cancellation. You assume all such risks by making a Pre-Order purchase.
7. Integration with Main Terms. This Addendum is subject to all other provisions of CompTIA's Terms of Use, including but not limited to the limitation of liability, warranty disclaimers, and arbitration provisions. In the event of any conflict between this Addendum and the main Terms of Use, this Addendum shall control with respect to Pre-Order Products.
