Strong gains and growing optimism among IT firms are characteristic of much of the Australian channel, indicating a healthy market that’s proven itself resilient despite recent tumult. In 2015, the Australia-New Zealand IT market was valued at $108.2B AUD ($76B in U.S. dollars), which is roughly 7.1% of the total Asia-Pacific IT market. This includes revenue from hardware, software, services and telecom.
While changes in the market have opened the way for new opportunities for many firms, it’s also shifted the dynamics of many vendor-partner relationships. But while a third of Australian respondents reported a notable increase in conflict with vendors in the channel during the last two years, eighty-two percent of the surveyed channel firms reported they were highly or mostly satisfied with their vendor relationships and partner programs.
The State of the Channel – Australia study delves into the size, shape and growth factors influencing these trends. It offers deep analysis of today’s most pressing topics and provides knowledge and applicable insights while examining the channel’s most pressing hurdles. The quantitative study consisted of an online survey fielded to IT channel firm executives and professionals in Australia and New Zealand during September 2015. A total of 200 IT industry companies participated.
