November 17, 2019 - November 22, 2019
São Luis and São Paulo, Brazil and Santiago, Chile
Building upon our first U.S. Space Industry Mission to Brazil in December 2017, the CompTIA Space Enterprise Council is organizing a second U.S. Space Industry Mission – this year to Brazil and Chile.
The signature of the Technology Safeguards Agreement between Brazil and the United States on March 18th promises to unleash Brazil’s potential as a commercial space power, opening the way for companies from many countries, including the United States, to launch rockets and satellites into space. Coupled with an ambitious agenda of policies aimed at creating a healthy business environment for space, activating the Alcântara Space Center will create numerous opportunities for U.S. companies.
Chile is also preparing to play a more active role in the space economy with the creation of a new Chilean Space Agency planned for 2020 and a strategy for developing space research and industrial capacity. Chile’s geography makes it a desirable location for satellite ground services as well as the best location in the world for Earth-based astronomy.
The U.S. Space Industry Mission will take a group of 10-15 U.S. space companies to Brazil and Chile to explore business opportunities created by these developments and strengthen the partnerships in space between our countries.
