Operating across Germany, the Nordics, Benelux and the United Kingdom, Firebrand specializes in vendor certification, training digital and IT professionals at some of the world's largest organizations, including banks, governments and ministries of defense. Eight years ago, the organization launched apprenticeships, and two years ago, it introduced skills boot camps. Central to this journey has been a trusted partnership with CompTIA, supporting learners as they take their first steps into the digital workforce.
In a rapidly shifting technological landscape, the primary hurdle for major employers is addressing the digital skills gap. Organizations struggle to find entry-level talent equipped with practical, up-to-date competencies. Because skills in the IT sector go out of date very quickly, training providers must constantly update their curricula to ensure relevance. Firebrand needed a way to build robust, scalable programs that help employers solve these complex workforce problems while ensuring that learners could hit the ground running from day one.
To meet this challenge, Firebrand focused on robust support and extra resources for its learners, prioritizing comprehensive education and foundational training. By collaborating closely with CompTIA as a trusted partner, Firebrand integrated industry-recognized certifications directly into its educational pathways. This collaborative relationship ensures that Firebrand has access to the latest technologies and an ever-expanding range of products. Rather than teaching isolated theory, Firebrand mapped CompTIA's vendor certifications directly into its government-funded apprenticeships and skills boot camps. These credentials help validate foundational knowledge, strengthen candidacy for competitive roles and signal competency to prospective employers.
Through structured support and a forward-looking curriculum, Firebrand has achieved remarkable growth. Its apprenticeship program has risen to become one of the top three in the United Kingdom for digital and IT training. Every learner who completes an apprenticeship now graduates with two or three vendor certifications from CompTIA, demonstrating practical competency alongside their practical training. Furthermore, the skills boot camp provision has flourished, now accounting for about a third of Firebrand's overall business. Armed with timely skills, graduates of these programs are prepared to enter the workforce immediately, helping top-tier organizations close their skills gaps and stay ahead of the game.
