Security+ Experts Needed

CompTIA is looking for IT professionals who have current experience working in the information security field to be involved in a Job Task Analysis Workshop for the CompTIA Security+ certification exam.

During the Job Task Analysis, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) will identify areas of competence required for the Security+ exam to ensure that the examination objectives are relevant to job roles and activities for the target audience.

Assistance from subject matter experts (SMEs) is crucial in providing industry-relevant certifications. Potential SMEs must be:

• Currently working in the field of information security
• At least 5 years of experience in the information security field
• It is preferred that SMEs are Security+ certified (or hold an equivalent/higher credential).

SMEs who attend the workshop will receive:

• An honorarium of $440 per day (or $2,200 total for the week), pending adequate level of participation
• 40 continuing education credits (CEUs)
• Breakfast, lunch, and refreshments daily during the workshop
• A complimentary CompTIA testing voucher for the exam of their choice
• CompTIA SME digital badge for resume and social media

In recognition of their contributions, all SMEs who participate in the entire Job Task Analysis workshop will have their names and companies (if provided) listed on the CompTIA website.

*International SMEs will instead receive $540/day stipend ($2,700 total) to help defer additional travel costs.

Only professionals currently working in one of the above fields should apply. Although CompTIA appreciates interest from the training community, applications from trainers/teachers, authors, or individuals who may profit or materially benefit from knowledge of the CompTIA credential content are not eligible to participate.
