This course will provide participants with a clear strategy for establishing or improving organizational cybersecurity. Participants will gain an understanding of the financial/business case and general threats and review the three main approaches for cyber security capability: build capability from existing resources, buy security skill-sets or partner with a firm which specializes in security services. Participants will review the opportunities, challenges and the financial realities that need to be understood at the intersection of the decision to build, buy or partner decisions. Participants will also gain an understanding of the market shift towards hosted solutions and SaaS offerings that will continue to disrupt the investment in security skills and technology, understand how a solid career and training path can help decrease risks and how to manage a security crisis across people, processes and technology.
