To highlight the values and goals of the organization, CompTIA has adopted a code of conduct that will be one of the guiding principles for meeting attendees:
"I undertake the responsibility of promoting a professional environment at CompTIA meetings and to encourage and maintain the important values of civility, community, respect towards all, and ethical conduct. If I behave in a way that is inconsistent with these values, I understand that CompTIA may take appropriate action either during or after the meeting. CompTIA's mission is to advance the global tech industry. As a meeting attendee, I am a proud ambassador of the tech community and will conduct myself in a manner that advances CompTIA's goals."
CompTIA is committed to providing a safe and welcoming environment at all of its events and forbids unwelcome conduct that is based on an individual’s race, color, religion, sex, gender identity, national origin, age, mental or physical disability, citizenship status or any other protected status of an individual. CompTIA will not tolerate sexual harassment in any form (including but not limited to inappropriate or unwelcome comments of a sexual nature, physical contact, and sexual attention). Participants who engage in harassment at an event may be expelled from the event and banned from future events. CompTIA may take other action in response to incidents of harassment, including reporting the matter to venue security or local law enforcement and providing safety escorts to participants during the event. Action taken to enforce this policy will occur after an investigation with notice and an opportunity to be heard for the accused unless CompTIA determines that the immediate safety or security of participants or other individuals may be at risk. If such safety or security is at risk, CompTIA may take action without providing notice or conducting an investigation, including contacting relevant law enforcement authorities.
If someone makes you or any participant feel unsafe or unwelcome at an event, please report it to CompTIA as soon as possible. You can contact a CompTIA staff member or submit a report of harassment at the bottom of this page. Your report will be confidential and will be viewed by CompTIA staff, legal counsel, and others only as necessary to properly review and investigate the report. As part of the complaint reporting process, your identity will be kept confidential unless you authorize its disclosure. If you prefer, you may file a complaint anonymously. The complaint form will request information about the incident and the names of possible witnesses. Confrontation with the alleged harasser will not be required as part of the investigation process.
Please complete and submit this form to report harassment that occurred at a CompTIA event. Your report will be confidential and will be viewed by CompTIA staff, legal counsel, and others only as necessary to properly review and investigate the report. If you are unable to complete an online form, please contact CompTIA’s Chief Operating Officer, Courtney Fong, at [email protected] or 630-678-8467.
