CompTIA Member Communities CompTIAWorld | FALL 2017 14 Congratulations to The Missing Link Security, Named to the CRN Australia Fast50 The Missing Link Security, an IT services provider in a suburb of Sydney, Australia, was named number one on the CRN Fast50 – an annual list that recognizes the fastest-growing companies in the Australian IT channel – last year. Karen Drewitt, general manager of The Missing Link, credits CompTIA membership for helping drive the growth that landed The Missing Link on this list. She recently became involved in the ANZ Channel Community dedicated to Australia and New Zealand-based resellers, solution providers, distributors, vendors and channel associates by offering companies member support. “I went to the first meeting in ANZ and loved the idea of an industry association and CompTIA’s purpose,” said Drewitt, who later joined the Executive Council. “Any initiative that improves the industry is a great thing. To get an opportunity to help solve industry challenges is a privilege.” For Drewitt, who has been in the IT industry for 15 years, education has provided the foundation for much of her career. She credits CompTIA’s research and best practice guides for leading to new opportunities in the region. The ANZ Community is currently supporting women in technology through Dream IT, which has reached more than 10,000 people with opportunities to bridge the skills gap for women in the industry.
