The group continues to push our members and the industry ahead with discussions on the impact of cloud services, security and the increasing number of business solutions customers are looking to IT providers to deliver and support. It’s an exciting time to get involved in the community! Validation and Credibility I view being named Member of the Year as validation of the work I have done with my peers in the managed services community and the IT industry as a whole. CompTIA has recognized my commitment to the organization and the IT channel, elevated my stature in the community, and helped open new doors and lines of communication. That allows me to share my own subject matter expertise and continue to learn from others. As an IT channel vendor, receiving this honor also demonstrates my company’s commitment to the channel. We take an interest in the needs of our partners and customers, and make every effort to ensure the solutions and support services we provide match those needs. Solution providers value working with those who are dedicated to CompTIA and the channel enables a high level of engagement across its membership. Being CompTIA Member of the Year motivates me to do more and to continue to give back to the organization and the industry. Membership isn’t just about what you get out of it but what you put into it. I encourage others to join and to look for ways to use their skills and experience to benefit the entire community, and I will always be happy to share my experiences and help new members get the most out of CompTIA. Whatever you put into this association, you get back tenfold. CompTIA is a different kind of organization – a nonprofit that is truly neutral. All members are viewed equally, regardless of the size of their company. This makes CompTIA unique, providing a membership that is open, supportive and offers each individual member the opportunity to thrive. I highly recommend making CompTIA membership an integral component of your IT career.
