Vice President, Member Relations
As Vice President, Member Relations, Pete Kaminskas manages CompTIA’s Public Sector Councils and leads a team that supports the organizations ‘grassroots to global’ advocacy programs. Pete comes to CompTIA with extensive member relations and business development experience, most recently as Senior Vice President, Member Services with TechAmerica. Pete has held other leadership roles in membership organizations such as the Business Software Alliance and the Corporate Strategy Board group within The Corporate Executive Board Company. He has also worked in various sales and strategic marketing roles with organizations such as Eli Lilly, the software division of IMS Health (now Dendrite), and Disney.
Pete earned his Bachelor’s Degree from The Pennsylvania State University in Management and a MBA in International Business and Strategic Marketing from the University of Maryland. He also studied International Business at Grenoble École de Management in Grenoble, France. Following in the footsteps of his parents, both former teachers, Peter was an adjunct professor at the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business, teaching a Strategic Marketing course to part-time MBA candidates from 2007-2009.
In his free time, Pete coaches his daughter’s soccer teams, participates in adult baseball and basketball leagues, and enjoys cycling to work. He also likes to travel and to prepare Memphis-style ‘slow and low’ barbeque for friends and family.
