Vice President of Partner Investments
As Vice President of Partner Investments, Sherrick leads partner investments globally for Salesforce, providing equity investments to services partners (consulting, integration, digital agencies) and technology companies to help create the future partner ecosystem for Salesforce. Making over 36 investments in 7 different countries, Sherrick invests in partners to help scale the ecosystem and drive customer success. As part of this role, Sherrick also leads partner M&A at Salesforce, advising buy-side Salesforce partners and new entrants, including global system integrators, marketing agencies, offshore firms and cloud integrators on how to acquire firms in the Salesforce ecosystem. In addition, Sherrick advises sell-side Salesforce partners on how to get acquired, who to connect with and options to strategically increase their market presence through growth equity, M&A, corporate development and partnerships. M&A is a part of every ecosystem, but by assisting the process, growth acquisitions can happen faster and be more successful – Sherrick is typically involved with ½ to 3/4 of the transactions in the Salesforce partner ecosystem each year. Previously, Sherrick led Worldwide Alliances at Salesforce.
Sherrick has spent 25 years in the area of business and new market development beginning early in his career as a consultant for Price Waterhouse managing the west coast advanced software centers and leading the first web to database project for the firm. Finding startups much more aggressive in technology innovation, he joined NetDynamics (later acquired by Sun). Sherrick has been with software companies ever since, most recently as CEO of Silver Tail Systems (acquired by EMC), four years as the Vice President of Global Alliances and Business Development at iRise and three years as the Vice President of Business Development at Cascadeworks (acquired by Elance). He lives in Hillsborough, California with his wife and 3 kids.
