The Penton Technology Channel Think Tank will share thought-leadership on sales strategies, career development and more at CompTIA ChannelCon 2017, the premier education, networking and partnering event for technology companies and professionals taking place July 31 to August 2 in Austin, Texas.

Members of the Channel Think Tank, which is a vendor-neutral, technology-agnostic group of industry leaders who collaborate to pursue thought-leadership, research and advocacy on behalf of the information and communications technology (ICT) channel, are scheduled to participate in two panel discussions with T.C. Doyle, channel editorial director at Penton Technology.

Doyle will moderate the panel Business Growth: Leveraging Co-Selling for Success, on August 1 at 10:45 a.m. The session will focus on co-selling and feature Think Tank member Nate Olsen, managing director of business development and channel programs, Insperity. Doyle and Olsen will be joined by Brent Combest, general manager, central region small and midsize business division, Microsoft; and Marc Monday, vice president of global business development, Concur. The panel will focus on best practices for co-selling with vendors. With the growth of cloud solutions this has shifted how services are provisioned and sold. In the session, panelists will share their views on how co-selling can be a fast path to cloud revenue with little or no overhead or costs.

“The ICT Channel is transforming as quickly as waves of technological disruption wash over it,” Doyle said. “We created the Penton Technology Think Tank to help vendors and channel companies alike better understand how to adjust, plan and react to all the new changes.”

In addition to the session on Tuesday, Doyle will also moderate a main stage session on Wednesday featuring Think Tank members. The session, Great Expectations 3.0 - The Best Career Advice Ever, is scheduled for August 2 at 8:00 a.m. It will feature Think Tank members Dawn Lindsey, head of channel marketing at Big Commerce, and Greg Dixon, CTO at ScanSource.

Doyle and the Think Tank members will be joined by Ryan Walsh, senior vice president, Pax8 and Jill Silman Chapman, senior performance consultant, recruiting services, from Insperity.

The session is an opportunity for thought-leaders to share insights on what works and doesn’t when it comes to career advice. Over the years, business and pop culture have combined to produce some truly laudable and loathsome career advice. These industry leaders will share the best career advice they have heard.
