Cloud+ Experts Needed

CompTIA is looking for IT professionals who have practical experience working with cloud and virtualization services in an enterprise setting to be involved in an Item Development Workshop for CompTIA’s Cloud+ assessment products.

The purpose of this Item Development Workshop is to create and review item content (questions) for CompTIA’s Cloud+ assessments.

Assistance from subject matter experts (SMEs) is crucial in providing industry relevant assessments. Potential SMEs must have:

  • At least 5 years of IT experience, with at least 2 years of technical hands-on experience with cloud and virtualization services in an enterprise setting.
  • Experience using and integrating cloud technologies, such as (but not limited to) AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, OpenStack, or CloudStack.
  • CompTIA Cloud+, Server+ and/or Network+ credentials or hold an equivalent industry certificate. Otherwise qualified network administrators, security administrators, IT system analysts, system administrators and IT consultants in cloud are encouraged to apply.

SMEs will receive a $400 a day stipend for the 5-day workshop, as well as meals provided during the 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. working days. Recognition for SMEs includes listing on the CompTIA website pending full participation in the program.

International SMEs (outside of North America) will receive an extra $100/ day stipend to help defer additional travel costs.

Although CompTIA appreciates interest from the training community, applications from trainers, authors, or individuals who may profit or materially benefit from knowledge of the CompTIA credential content are not eligible to participate.
