CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP+) Experts Needed

CompTIA is looking for IT professionals who have extensive experience working in enterprise level security management to be involved in a remote Job Task Analysis Workshop for the CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP+) Certification exam.

A Job Task Analysis is the phase of exam development used to identify areas of competence required for an exam, and to ensure that the examination objectives are relevant to job roles and activities for the target audience.

Assistance from subject matter experts (SMEs) is crucial in providing an industry relevant exam. Potential SMEs must have at least 8 years of experience working in enterprise level security management. It is preferred that SMEs are CASP+ certified (or hold an equivalent/higher credential).

SMEs who attend the workshop will receive:

  • An honorarium of $200 per day (or $1000 total for the week), pending adequate level of participation
  • 40 continuing education credits (CEUs)
  • A complimentary CompTIA testing voucher for the exam of his/her choice

In recognition of their contributions, all SMEs who participate in the entire remote Job Task Analysis workshop will have their names and companies (if provided) listed on the CompTIA website.

When: July 27-31, 2020
Where: Remote (Virtual Workshop)

Only professionals currently working in the field of enterprise security management should apply. Although CompTIA appreciates interest from the training community, applications from trainers, authors, or individuals who may profit or materially benefit from knowledge of the CompTIA credential content are not eligible to participate.

If you have questions about the application process, email examdev@comptia.org.
