Server+ Experts Needed

CompTIA is looking for IT professionals in the field of network server administration to be involved in an Item Development Workshop for CompTIA’s Server+ assessment products.

The purpose of this item development workshop is to create and review item content (questions) for CompTIA’s Server+ assessments.

Assistance from subject matter experts (SMEs) is crucial in providing industry relevant certifications. Potential SMEs must meet the following requirements:

• At least 5 years’ experience working with network servers.
• Can identify environmental issues, understand and comply with disaster recovery and physical/software security procedures.
• Familiar with industry terminology and concepts and understand server roles/specializations and interaction within the overall computing environment.
• Preferably Server+ certified (or equivalent credentials).

SMEs who attend the workshop will receive:

• An honorarium of $200 per day (or $1,000 total for the week), pending adequate level of participation
• 40 continuing education credits (CEUs)
• A complimentary CompTIA testing voucher for the exam of his/her choice

In recognition of their contributions, all SMEs who participate in the entire Item Writing workshop will have their names and companies (if provided) listed on the CompTIA website.

Only professionals currently working in the field of network server administration should apply. Although CompTIA appreciates interest from the training community, applications from trainers, authors, or individuals who may profit or materially benefit from knowledge of the CompTIA credential content are not eligible to participate.
