Server+ Experts Needed

CompTIA is looking for IT professionals in the field of network server administration to be involved in a Cut Score Workshop for our Server+ Certification exam.

The purpose of a Cut Score Workshop is to set the passing standard for the certification exam and to help create items for the CompTIA Server+ Certification exam.

Assistance from subject matter experts (SMEs) is crucial in providing industry relevant certifications. Potential SMEs must have at least 5 years’ experience working with network servers. Potential SMEs should also be able to identify environmental issues, understand and comply with disaster recovery and physical/software security procedures, be familiar with industry terminology and concepts and understand server roles/specializations and interaction within the overall computing environment. It is preferred that SMEs are Server+ certified (or equivalent/higher credential).

SMEs will receive a $400 a day stipend for the 5-day workshop, as well as meals provided during the 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. working days. Recognition for SMEs includes listing on the CompTIA website pending full participation in the program.

International SMEs (outside of North America) will receive an extra $100/ day stipend to help defer additional travel costs.

When: April 20-24, 2020
Where: CompTIA Headquarters; 3500 Lacey Rd. Suite 100, Downers Grove, IL 60515 (Downers Grove is a suburb of Chicago)

Only professionals currently working in the field of server administration should apply. Although CompTIA appreciates interest from the training community, applications from trainers, authors, or individuals who may profit or materially benefit from knowledge of the CompTIA credential content are not eligible to participate.
