Project+ Experts Needed

CompTIA is looking for IT professionals in the project management field who possess at least 2 years of direct experience leading, managing, directing, or participating in small to medium scale projects OR professionals with at least 5 years of part-time project management experience while serving in an IT management role to be involved in a Cut Score workshop for our CompTIA Project+ Certification exam.

During the Cut Score workshop, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) will determine and set the passing standard for the certification exam, and will create, develop, and review items for the CompTIA Project+ exam.

Assistance from SMEs is crucial in providing an industry relevant exam. Potential SMEs must have:

  • A minimum of 2 years working in the field of project management.
  • Must possess important core knowledge of the project life cycle, roles, and skills necessary to effectively initiate, plan, execute, monitor/control, and close a project.
  • It is preferred that SMEs are Project+ certified (or hold an equivalent credential).

SMEs who attend the workshop will receive:

  • An honorarium of $200 per day (or $1,000 total for the week), pending adequate level of participation
  • A complimentary CompTIA testing voucher for the exam of their choice
  • 40 continuing education units (CEUs) upon successful completion of the workshop

In recognition of their contributions, all SMEs who participate in the entire Cut Score workshop will have their names and companies (if provided) listed on the CompTIA website.

When: May 16-20, 2022
Where: Virtual

Only professionals currently working in the field of project management should apply. Although CompTIA appreciates interest from the training community, applications from trainers, authors, or individuals who may profit or materially benefit from knowledge of the CompTIA credential content are not eligible to participate.
