MassChallenge, a global network of startup accelerators, announced last week its newest program in Texas. Through an Austin-based accelerator and statewide programming, MassChallenge Texas will accelerate up to 100 high impact, high potential companies, which will compete for up to $500,000 in equity-free cash awards.

In addition to the early-stage startups participating in the 2018 accelerator, MassChallenge expects to support hundreds more entrepreneurs through community-building activities, tailored programming, and ecosystem development across the state in the areas of healthcare, clean energy, hardware & manufacturing, biotech, consumer tech, and social impact programs.  MassChallenge Texas, a non-profit entity, will also focus on fostering collaboration by connecting large corporations with the startup community.  If your company is interested in participating as a mentor, please visit:

MassChallenge Texas will also host a formal launch event to introduce the MassChallenge Texas community and program on October 16, 2017 at 6:30pm at the Bob Bullock Museum in Austin, Texas.  Members of the community can RSVP for the event here.  Please contact Sarah Matz at if you would like to RSVP or if you have any questions.
