London – CompTIA, the nonprofit association for the technology industry and leading provider of vendor-neutral skills certifications for the world’s technology workforce, said today it is partnering with consultancy and training firm InAspire to build digital literacy and technology skills in the Netherlands.
InAspire is CompTIA’s exclusive representative agent in the Netherlands. The two organisations will jointly promote career opportunities in the ICT industry and champion the importance of professional skills certifications and credentials for technology workers.
“The Netherlands is one of the most wired countries in the world, and a hotspot for leading ICT companies, evidenced by the fact that some 60 percent of all Forbes 2000 companies active in the global ICT industry have established operations there,” said Graham Hunter, vice president, skills certifications EME, CompTIA.
“These companies, and many others that rely on technology for daily business operations, have a critical need for workers to be trained, educated and certified in the latest technology innovations,” Hunter continued. “We are very pleased to partner with InAspire to help develop a tech-ready workforce.”
CompTIA and InAspire will focus initially on the country’s academic community. The two organisations will embark on an education campaign to promote technology as a career. They will explain how CompTIA certifications and other industry credentials, in concert with academic degrees, are the best route to prepare students for careers in the ICT field.
“CompTIA certifications are mapped to job descriptions that are recognised within the industry and throughout the world, so students and workers who earn these credentials often have an advantage in the hiring process,” said Hans Blankendaal, founding member, InAspire. “There is also a good connection within the national qualification framework that is used within the vocational education system in the Netherlands.”
Schools and education institutions in the Netherlands are invited to join the CompTIA Academy Partner Program to gain access to valuable tools and resources related to careers in ICT. To learn more, visit https://certification.comptia.org/training/training-partners.
