CompTIA expands education offering to provide more accessible training for IT professionals

London, UK – CompTIA, the non-profit association for the information technology (IT) industry, today announced the latest additions to its portfolio of education and training resources for the IT channel and industry.

The new offerings include several Quick Start e-learning courses and a series of on-demand Executive Certificate courses, aimed and helping members more easily access valuable information on how to better run their businesses.

Easily consumable training

CompTIA is now offering many of its popular Quick Start Guides as short one-hour video courses, designed to provide learners with easily consumable content and the flexibility to upskill from home or on-the-move. The new e-Learning courses provide information that IT professionals, MSPs and IT solution providers can use to improve their business operations. Available at no cost to both CompTIA Registered Users and Premier Members, the line-up of Quick Start e-Learning courses includes CompTIA’s most-used guides, like Business Agility, which advises SMEs on aligning their businesses with changing markets to achieve commercial success.

Other e-Learning video guides now available include The Art of the Deal; Managed Services; Managing a Managed Services Sales Organisation; Improving Sales with a Sales Playbook; and Tackling Cloud Security Concerns.

On-Demand Flexibility

Several CompTIA Executive Certificate programs – previously only available as live sessions– are now offered as self-paced online curriculum, to give learners control over their own development. Designed to help managed services providers and IT solution providers gain the knowledge and expertise they need to take advantage of current opportunities in the IT industry, CompTIA’s portfolio of on-demand executive training programs includes the following:

  • Executive Certificate in Cloud Intermediate addresses the "how-tos" of profitably integrating cloud-based services into a channel partners’ business, delving into specific elements of growing a cloud-based business.
  • Executive Certificate in IT Security Foundations assists channel partners in becoming a trusted IT security advisor. Participants learn to gauge the impact of emerging trends on their customers' businesses, how to explore ways to facilitate meaningful conversations around security, and how to leverage those conversations in the design and implementation of appropriate security solutions.
  • Executive Certificate in Mobility Foundations provides an overview of the various opportunities for managed services providers (MSPs) and IT solution providers to build their businesses around mobility, including establishing a mobile strategy, and understanding mobile management and the stages of the mobile device lifecycle.
