CompTIA Opens ChannelCon 2016 Registration

IT Industry Comes Together Aug. 1-3 in South Florida at its Premier Collaboration, Education and Networking Conference

Downers Grove, Ill. – CompTIA, the nonprofit association for the technology industry, today opened online registration for ChannelCon 2016, the industry’s premier conference for collaboration, education and networking.

Executives from leading technology vendors, distributors and solution providers, as well as industry influencers, press and analysts will be on hand for ChannelCon 2016, set for August 1-3 at the Diplomat Resort & Spa in Hollywood, Fla.

The theme of ChannelCon 2016 is “Breaking Boundaries.”

“The fast pace of innovation coupled with growing customer demand for technology solutions makes this a great time for technology companies,” said Kelly Ricker, senior vice president, events and education, CompTIA.

“At the same time, many companies face new challenges that threaten their ability to survive,” Ricker continued. “At ChannelCon 2016 we’ll equip them with the resources, strategies and tools to break down the boundaries that are keeping them from success.”

Among the highlights of the 2016 conference, the industry will once again honor the CompTIA ChannelChangers; young professionals who have established themselves as true future leaders. The awards recognize up-and-coming industry leaders for their hard work, dedication, success or originality as an entrepreneur. ChannelCon offers attendees high-impact training, educational sessions, industry panels, keynotes, networking opportunities and working groups on the most important topics and trends impacting the industry.

ChannelCon 2016 will feature an exclusive educational track on business exit strategies. This three-session program is designed to help channel businesses take stock of their present and future through business valuation, as well as planned acquisition and other strategies. Attendees will receive free access to a new Exit Strategies Toolkit, a comprehensive set of resources for every IT services business, no matter its life stage.

CompTIA will launch a new IT Security Standard at ChannelCon 2016. Designed to assist channel businesses be both compliant and secure, the standard and a companion Executive Certificate in Profitable Security Compliance program will offer insights into how to avoid common obstacles to meeting the new security standard, stay up-to-date on security regulations and use standards compliance as a business differentiator. Attendees will receive copies of the new standard, as well as access to a workbook to enable achievement.

The ChannelCon Track4Techs returns in 2016. This educational program helps individual technology professionals sharpen their technical skills. Participants earn CompTIA Continuing Education credits to keep their CompTIA certifications current.

The call for speakers for ChannelCon 2016 remains open until May 1. Industry leaders, specialists and professionals eager to share their expertise and experiences with others are invited to submit speaking proposals. Topics range from business best practices and channel management, to marketing, operations, sales, technical insights and training including cloud, big data, Internet of Things, mobility, security and networking.
