PowerTalks Return to CompTIA Annual Member Meeting

Back by popular demand, the sessions will promote the exchange of ideas and cross-community collaboration among attendees

Downers Grove, Ill. – CompTIA today announced its line up of PowerTalk sessions scheduled to take place during the CompTIA Annual Member Meeting March 22-24 at the Fairmont Chicago Millennium Park Hotel.

Returning for the second year in a row, the PowerTalk sessions offer a unique environment where attendees can learn more about the latest trends and happenings across the industry, engage in rewarding discussions, and exchange ideas and collaborate with their peers.

“Our PowerTalk sessions are excellent reflection of the true spirit of AMM,” said Kelly Ricker, senior vice president, events and education, CompTIA. “Engaging with our peers and discussing the differences in our unique perspectives an a necessary component for developing business strategies. Attendees won’t want to miss the opportunity to take a deep dive into the topics being presented, engage in compelling debates, and gain invaluable insights from their peers.”

The line-up of PowerTalk session for the 2016 CompTIA Annual Member Meeting include:

  • From Service Delivery to Solution Delivery will look at business transformation and how it changes in the profile of today’s IT buyer, as well as other factors moving the channel from service delivery to a broader solution delivery focus. Moderated by Steve Alexander, president, MSP-Ignite.


  • Building Revenue While Solving End User Challenges will examine how MSPs and IT solution providers can solve their customer’s challenges while growing their own businesses. The session will include real-world case studies and examples of where unique solutions are addressing a customer’s biggest headaches, and will offer attendees a chance to learn about potential “low hanging fruit” revenue opportunities to grow their businesses. Presented by Tim Herbert, senior vice president, research and market intelligence, CompTIA, and Toby Palmer, PMP, principal and managing director, Vault Consulting, LLC.


  • PowerTalk Unplugged. Attendees set the agenda and discuss topics that are of most interest to them including business challenges they face, new opportunities, how to leverage new and emerging next-generation technologies and more. All attendees are invited to submit their topic on the PowerTalk Unplugged board at registration, or vote in favor of a topic that’s already been posted. The most popular topics will be the focus of roundtable discussions.
