CompTIA continues to be the leading voice of the tech industry for reform of the DOC Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and DOS International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). On July 6, CompTIA submitted comment letters on 5 proposed regulations addressing topics including harmonization of export clearance provisions, destination control statements, and control of fire control, range finder, optical and guidance and control equipment. The comment letters can be viewed by Export Controls Committee membership on the Export Controls Resources webpage. The CompTIA Export Controls Committee is currently generating comments for additional rules on topics including intrusion and surveillance items and regulatory definitions.
