Randy Gross is the Chief Information Officer and Senior Vice President, Certification Operations, for CompTIA.
As CompTIA’s CIO, Randy matches the organization’s business goals with technology delivery, focusing on customer experience and delight. He works with highly skilled technology professionals to direct global technology strategy, infrastructure, business systems, and application development.
Randy also manages all certification program operations, including high stakes exam development, delivery, ecommerce and customer support for CompTIA. The association is the world’s leading provider of vendor-neutral skills certifications, with more than two million credentials awarded to technology professionals around the globe.
Randy is a frequent speaker at industry conferences and events and a news source for media outlets on a range of topics, including the role of the CIO, the IT workforce, and how businesses benefit from technology, including placements in Computerworld, Forbes, Gulf Business, and TechRepublic. He has also written guest columns for FierceCIO and Information Management.
Prior to CompTIA, Randy worked for Accenture and the Consumer Technology Association. He graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a degree in Political Science.
