Senior Vice President, Human Resources
Colleen Hughes is the senior vice president of human resources for CompTIA. She is responsible for the strategic planning and execution of core staffing, operational and administrative initiatives for CompTIA offices around the world. Hughes has extensive experience aligning an organization's business objectives, work culture and human resources programs, policies, and procedures to drive overall performance.
Prior to joining CompTIA in 2008, she worked for Hospital Clinical Services Group, a leading provider of outsourced healthcare services, and Fresenius Medical Care Extracorporeal Alliance in Nashville, Tenn. She managed all areas of HR for the 400-600 employees who provided outsourced clinical services to hospitals and medical facilities across the eastern United States. As a member of the senior management team, she was responsible for providing HR leadership to front-line managers, executives and regional management; consulting on workforce planning, performance management, and compensation; recruitment for management positions; and strategic planning to support infrastructure growth.
Hughes also has held HR management positions with RSM McGladrey, a leading national business consulting firm focused on mid-sized companies; AGI, Inc., a packaging manufacturer; Major Resources, Inc., a human resources consulting firm; and Riveredge Hospital, a private medical facility in suburban Chicago.
Hughes holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Clarke College in Dubuque, Iowa and a Masters in Public Administration from Roosevelt University in Chicago.
