John brings 20+ years of experience to the SAP channel business. He thrives on creating scalable initiatives that are designed to accelerate business, simplify the complex and allow for both strategic and tactical action. He serves as the AFIC Chair on the Board of Directors for CompTIA.
John joined SAP to lead the early stages of demand generation for the SAP channel business. From there, he led the rapid growth of the SAP reselling ecosystem globally by increasing the channel partner count from 500 to 3000, in addition to developing and launching a formalized partner-to-partner framework that grew an extended ecosystem of 2,000.
In 2013, John signed up as the COO for the Indirect Channel business, which accounted for 1BEuros of revenue. He took over the Global Platinum Reseller program in 2014 and grew this business to represent 25% of SAP’s total indirect revenue. From there, John went on to lead the Global Cloud Channels business and grew ACV from 75M to 500M Euros in 5 years. Looking for a new challenge, John went on to lead the volume SAP software partner (ISV) business, where he built a franchise approach to scale the business of +2,000 partners and drove triple digit ACV growth globally.
Today, as Global Vice President, he leads the Ecosystem Demand Management team, which is laser focused on establishing an ecosystem first approach to building pipeline to drive indirect revenue goals.
Previously, John successfully fulfilled marketing roles with Compaq, Digital Equipment Corporation and Monster.com. He brings a unique blend of technology manufacturer and marketing agency background to his position. John champions the customer and the partner when creating and driving initiatives.
In addition to work, John has been actively fundraising for the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation since 2000. An active fisherman, he serves as an Executive Officer of a 120 member community-based fishing organization, Maddies Anglers in Marblehead, MA. Additionally, John volunteers time to support KIPP Academy, Rosie’s Place and My Brothers Table in Lynn, MA.
John has an MBA from Boston University and a BA from the University of Richmond, where he majored in Economics.
