Customer Service Skills Program

By establishing an international standard for customer service in the IT industry, CompTIA helps member companies with fewer than 100 service representatives develop a competitive edge by raising the service level they provide. CompTIA offers a customer service accreditation program which allows for validation of CompTIA's Customer Service Skills program.

The CompTIA Field Service and Help Desk programs focus on integrating professional communication and support skills with technical skills. Combining these skills makes service team members more effective and efficient, thereby increasing service levels, and strengthening customer loyalty and service reputation.

To receive accreditation, participants need to go through the Field Service or Help Desk customer service training programs provided by an approved vendor. Member companies that participate in the program report measurable improvements in customer satisfaction levels.

CompTIA members pay $179, which includes the web-based course, reinforcement tools, job aids, testing, and CompTIA Accreditation.
