The lack
of interoperability between computer telephony products has meant that users,
vendors, and system integrators have faced serious obstacles in implementing
CT solutions.
ECTF Framework
The ECTF maintains the ECTF
framework for guiding users and vendors towards building systems made up
of interoperable products.
ECTF Work Areas
ECTF technical efforts are divided into a number of different
work areas that cover all aspects of computer telephony interoperability:
- Administrative Services (M. series)
- Application Interoperability (A. series)
- Call Control (C. series)
- Reporting (R. series)
- Media Services (S. series)
- Hardware Components Interoperability (H. series)
