What is the CompTIA E2C program?
The CompTIA E2C membership program was designed to
meet the specific needs of IT educators in public schools,
colleges, not-for-profit and government agencies that fund
retraining programs.
The E2C membership program includes free test vouchers for
teachers, discounted CompTIA test vouchers for students, career
awareness tools, instructor aids and course materials, the
CompTIA IT Merit Awards, and classroom computer equipment
sources through the National
Cristina Foundation.
Where can I obtain my CompTIA member username
and password?
If you forgot your username or password, or have
questions about E2C, please contact Nicole Owen, E2C Business
Development Specialist. She can be reached at
e2cadmin@comptia.org or
at 630-678-8323.
Who is eligible for a CompTIA E2C
membership?
CompTIA E2C membership is available to all publicly funded
high schools and colleges, not-for-profit organizations and
government agencies that train individuals to enter the IT
workforce.
Where can I find pricing and registration
information for E2C vouchers?
CompTIA E2C Members can find out how to order their
vouchers in the CompTIA
Members Only Area.
Policy for Purchasing CompTIA Vouchers: It is the policy
of CompTIA that member benefits belong to the purchaser of
those benefits, remain with the member, and may not be re-sold
to non-members, as this undermines the value of CompTIA membership.
CompTIA exam vouchers may not be sold independently to non-members
but may be combined or bundled with other services as long
as the total value of those services exceeds the purchase
price of the vouchers. Exceptions to this policy, as may
exist
in the case of governmental or academic bodies, must have
prior approval of CompTIA’s chief operating officer.
CompTIA will, at its sole discretion, investigate any violations
to this policy and issue a Cease and Desist notification
or
other similar notice. If the breach is not remedied within
10 working days, CompTIA may terminate the Membership status
of the offending organization without re-imbursement of dues
paid to the Association and bring further action as warranted.
What do the certifications cost?
Once a school or organization meets the criteria
to participate in the E2C program, and is a CompTIA member,
they are able to purchase test vouchers at a significant discount.
Test vouchers must be purchased prior to scheduling of the
tests and are available through our testing partners, Prometric and Pearson VUE.
Because the E2C testing program is a voucher-only program,
students may not purchase their exam at a test site. Vouchers
must be ordered in advance. There is no minimum voucher purchase
required.
CompTIA certification vouchers available through the E2C
program are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase.
Please contact our
membership department for CompTIA E2C pricing.
How do I purchase vouchers?
CompTIA E2C Members can find out how to order their vouchers
in the CompTIA
Members Only Area.
One of the benefits to instructors in the E2C program is
a free voucher for personal use. How is this obtained?
Eligible E2C instructors can request a voucher by
using the voucher request form in the CompTIA
Members Only Area.
Where can I find curriculum to
prepare my students for the certification tests?
CompTIA has developed the CAQC
(CompTIA Approved Quality Curriculum) program, so you
can be assured your students are using curriculum that
covers
the material on a CompTIA certification test. Students and
organizations know that the CAQC logo means they are studying
with the highest quality material. CAQC approved training
material is required for use in many CompTIA training environments.
Where can I find information
about careers in the ICT industry?
CompTIA’s TechCareer
Compass (TCC) is the complete resource regarding career
paths, jobs and the skills sets needed to work in the ICT
industry. TCC also provides assessment tools to help candidates
evaluate and improve their current skill set, as well as
an extensive list of ICT certifications and locations for
training.
How can my school become a testing center?
Schools that become a Prometric or Pearson VUE testing
center allow their students to take the tests in the familiar
setting of their own school. If you are interested in learning
more about the costs and requirements to become a testing
center, visit either the Prometric or Pearson
VUE Web sites.
What are the CompTIA IT Merit Awards?
CompTIA IT Merit Awards are given by the CompTIA
Educational Foundation in an effort to develop new pools of
talent and foster careers in IT. Awards are given to students
who recently receive a CompTIA certification and are pursuing
careers in the IT industry. CompTIA educational, not-for-profit
and government members are able to nominate students for these
$250 awards. Please visit the CompTIA
Educational Foundation Web site for complete information
and eligibility requirements.
