Organizations Headed Deeper into the Cloud
Momentum behind the cloud computing movement continues to accelerate as organizations move from limited deployments to more comprehensive cloud solutions. More than half of the organizations surveyed for our Second Annual Trends in Cloud Computing study said their investment in cloud computing will increase by 10 percent or more during the next 12 months. This additional investment will likely be accompanied by greater complexity in the overall cloud strategy, such as moving to a hybrid cloud model or adopting more advanced services beyond SaaS. Sharp Relies on CompTIA Certifications to Validate Expertise
Digital document management is a rapidly changing and highly competitive industry. At Sharp Electronics in the U.S. and Canada, field services directors have discovered the value of CompTIA certification for their teams. Scott Chatten, senior director of field services for Sharp Electronics Corp., has a small, relatively static group of 27 regional support specialists for on-site support of 450 independent dealers. Help Vets Transition into Tech Careers
CompTIA’s new Troops to Tech Careers program will help veterans make the transition from the armed forces to the civilian workforce – specifically in IT jobs. CompTIA is working with partners such as New Horizons Computer Learning Centers and the Department of Labor’s One Stop Career Centers on pilot programs in 31 cities across the country. Read more.
