Opportunities for IT vendorsTechnology is advancing how students learn, how teachers teach and how efficiently and effectively education services can be delivered. That translates into serious opportunities for IT vendors and the channel. CompTIA’s new research report, IT Opportunities in the Education Market, provides insights into the education market’s use, consumption and purchase plans for technology. Read more.

The President’s 2012 budget recommends additional cuts to Perkins. We face difficult fiscal times, but the proposed reductions in Perkins funding are short-sighted and could have far reaching consequences in diminishing the preparation of a “career ready” workforce. In May, 52 members of Congress signed a “dear colleague” letter to fully fund Perkins at $1.27 billion (2008 levels). Read more.
