CompTIA Releases Africa Partner Conference 2012 Event Agenda

Midrand, South Africa, 28 August 2012CompTIA, the non-profit association for the information technology (IT) industry, announced today the agenda for the 2012 CompTIA Africa Partner Conference, an annual event bringing together CompTIA partners and members from across Africa to participate in cross-community networking.

This year’s conference, scheduled for 13 September 2012 at the Blue Valley Golf and Country Estate in Midrand, South Africa, features an agenda including an array of speakers, panels and information sessions focused on the value of IT training and certifications.

The CompTIA Africa Partner Conference will spotlight keynote speaker Mark Keating, chief executive officer and founding partner, SalesGuru, as he presents the “Secrets of Sales Gurus” and shares proven strategies for managing high performance sales teams

Before becoming a serial entrepreneur, Keating was a financial services and telecommunications salesman cutting his teeth in some of the toughest markets. Keating is recognised as a leading sales expert and shares with his audiences both his experiences and what he has learned interviewing numerous top sales producers locally and abroad. He has spoken to over 100 of South Africa’s leading businesses, covering a broad range of sales based topics. Today, Keating continues to take very seriously the job of raising sales to the level of a professional career.

Keating has become increasingly popular for his ability to bring the common sense attitude of SalesGuru to sales audiences across the biggest blue chip companies in South Africa. SalesGuru Magazine was launched in 2006 and today is South Africa’s most used sales tool. In addition to running the largest annual national sales events, SalesGuru offers sales training, consulting and recruitment assistance to over 3,000 companies.

The conference also features a CompTIA Vision 2012 and Beyond presentation by Todd Thibodeaux, chief executive officer and president, CompTIA; and a CompTIA Certification Update by Terry Erdle, executive vice president, skills certification, CompTIA.

Case studies to be presented at the conference will include a CompTIA Corporate Member Case Study; a Platinum Sponsor Case Study hosted by Michael Hobbs, Pearson VUE; and a corporate panel discussion facilitated by Monre Botes, chief executive officer, Tremendis Learning.
