CompTIA Introduces Special Membership Offer for IAMCP UK Chapter

London, 19 June 2012CompTIA, the leading non-profit association for the information technology (IT) industry, today introduced a new membership offer for all United Kingdom-based members of the International Association of Microsoft Channel Partners (IAMCP).

“We’re pleased to extend this special membership offer to our industry colleagues in IAMCP,” said John McGlinchey, CompTIA vice president for Europe and the Middle East. “CompTIA is a thriving community of organizations throughout the IT channel. Our sole mission is to advance the interests of our members and the global IT industry as a whole. We welcome all UK members of IAMCP to join us in this endeavor.”

“By teaming with CompTIA, our members can secure a place at the cutting edge of the IT industry and gain access to a wealth of resources to help them grow their business,” said Kelvin Kirby, Worldwide President, IAMCP International and IAMCP UK Chapter President. “They’ll connect with other solution providers, resellers, vendors, distributors and consultants working in the same business markets, segments and technologies.”

CompTIA provides its members with a full range of business tools, resources and educational content designed by industry experts to help grow an IT business. Members also receive free, unlimited access to in-depth industry research on important topics such as cloud computing, cyber-security, managed services, the mobile enterprise and the IT workforce.

Another hallmark of membership in CompTIA is the opportunity for partners and peers to come together in targeted face-to-face and virtual meetings where they can network, share best practices and collaborate on solving specific industry issues.

With membership in CompTIA, UK channel firms are eligible to join CompTIA’s UK Channel Community. This group was formed in early 2011 following CompTIA’s acquisition of Technology Channels Association (TCA). The community provides a platform for resellers, distributors and vendors to focus on developing best practices, business education and resources for companies engaged in the delivery of IT services in the UK.

The next meeting of the CompTIA UK Channel Community is scheduled for the 18th July at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Reading. Visit CompTIA Events to learn more.
