Best of Breakaway 2010 Awards, CompTIA PitchIT Contest Winners Announced
Winners selected by votes of attendees at premier event for North American IT channel
San Antonio, Texas, August 12, 2010 – Winners of the Best of Breakaway 2010 awards and the CompTIA PitchIT contest were chosen here Wednesday by attendees at the premier event for information technology (IT) channel companies in North America.
Breakaway is the annual conference hosted by CompTIA, the leading non-profit trade association for the IT industry. More than 1,000 industry leaders attended this year’s event, which concludes today.
Conference attendees voted for six Best of Breakaway 2010 awards.
ConnectWise, Tampa, Fla., won the awards for overall Best of Show and for Best Product – Software for its business operating systems designed exclusively for the IT channel.
The award for Best Product – Hardware was claimed by CharTec of Bakersfield, Calif., a “Hardware as a Service” (HaaS) provider that enables IT service companies to offer computer hardware and software to end users with no upfront capital investment.
Reflexion Networks, Woburn, Mass., a provider of a range of managed email services, won the Best of Breakaway 2010 award for Best Partner Program.
Autotask Corporation, East Greenbush, N.Y., a provider of hosted IT business management software for value added resellers, managed service providers and other technology solution providers, won the Best Channel Strategy award.
The winner of the Best New Product award was ClearCenter of Orem, Utah, a provider of an open service delivery platform uniquely tailored for the IT needs of small business and distributed environments.
Also selected Wednesday were the winners of the CompTIA PitchIT video contest. Companies were invited to submit three-minute videos in two categories: Coolest New Product (open to Breakaway sponsors) and Hottest Company (open to Breakaway attendees) to showcase the best new products and companies in the IT channel.
The CompTIA PitchIT Attendee Award went to Clever Ducks, a professional IT services company headquartered in San Luis Obispo, Calif..
ConnectWise won the CompTIA PitchIT Sponsor Award.
Also recognized Wednesday was MSP University, Garden Grove, Calif., the largest online resource and consultancy dedicated to business transformation and improvement strategies for IT professionals and managed service providers. MSP University received the CompTIA Winners Circle Award for being the sponsor that recruited the most attendees to come to Breakaway.
