Tech Foundation Leaders to Set the Direction of IT Philanthropy at CompTIA Breakaway Conference
CompTIA Educational Foundation Leads First Peer-to-Peer Summit
Oakbrook Terrace, Ill., June 23, 2010, The CompTIA Educational Foundation will host an Information Technology (IT) Philanthropy Summit with key technology foundation leaders to help set the future direction of philanthropy in the IT industry. The first-ever peer-to-peer planning summit will be held August 12 during CompTIA’s annual Breakaway conference in San Antonio, Texas.
Some of the IT industry’s best philanthropic minds will collaborate to publish a report that will drive new thinking, new initiatives, new partnerships and better, more impactful results from IT philanthropy. This groundbreaking collaborative effort will show all IT industry leaders what the future of IT philanthropy can look like and the impact it can have.
Some of the attendees already committing to the summit include philanthropic representatives from AMD, Applied Materials, CDW, Dell, IBM, Intel, Microsoft, SalesForce.com, Symantec, VMware and Xerox.
The invitation-only summit will provide participants the opportunity to leverage and collaborate with other leaders to make all industry philanthropic programs more effective.
“This summit is a unique opportunity to bring together the leaders in IT that give generously back to society. By working in partnership, we can have a greater impact on our industry and help even more people in need improve their lives,” said Charles Eaton, executive director, CompTIA Educational Foundation.
